2025 International Shiitake Mushroom Supply Chain Conference—Closed-Door Workshop on Key Customer Cultivation and Consumer Market Expansion Held
On November 10, the 2025 International Xianggu Mushroom Supply Chain Conference—Closed-Door Workshop on Key Customer Cultivation and Consumer Market Expansion convened at the Smart Factory in the Xilou Base of Qihe Biotech. Attendees included Wang Sheng, Deputy Secretary-General of the China Chain Store & Franchise Association; Liu Ziqiang, Secretary-General of the Edible Fungi Branch of the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Foodstuffs, Native Produce and Animal By-products; and Su Jianchang, General Manager of Shandong Qihe Biotechnology Co., Ltd. Representatives from over 40 supermarkets, restaurants, and food processing plants nationwide participated in the meeting.

At the meeting, Wang Sheng, Deputy Secretary-General of the China Chain Store & Franchise Association, conducted a closed-door training session for supermarket representatives. He emphasized that supermarkets must firmly establish their own brands to earn consumers' absolute trust. This requires two key strategies: maintaining unwavering quality and optimizing product placement to strengthen their competitive moat. This year, Qihe Bio's “full-category” small tray packaging for Mushrooms has entered supermarkets. Its successful implementation demonstrates the vibrant potential of the mushroom market and warrants comprehensive industry-wide adoption. It is hoped that Qihe Bio will continuously enhance product quality and strengthen operational improvements to provide consumers with a richer and higher-quality selection of edible fungi. It is also recommended that Qihe Bio organize such a symposium annually, enabling participants to share highlights, inspire one another, and collectively inject more vitality and innovative momentum into the sustainable prosperity of the mushroom industry.

Liu Ziqiang, Secretary-General of the Edible Fungi Branch of the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Foodstuffs, Native Produce and Animal By-products, stated in his address: “First, I extend our gratitude to Wang Sheng, Deputy Secretary-General of the China Chain Store & Franchise Association, for his strong support of this study tour. We welcome the active participation of supermarket representatives. This marks the first time edible fungi enterprises have invited chain supermarket systems to visit our facilities for discussions, sharing innovative cooperation experiences and achievements.” Qihe Bio, China's first edible fungi enterprise to pioneer automated production and expand overseas, stands as a trailblazer in advancing the “comprehensive food perspective.” We hope this event will deepen mutual understanding, strengthen cooperative trust, and contribute more “fungal power” to human health. Supermarket representatives shared their collaboration case with Qihe Bio, noting that their partnership has consistently been built on mutual trust and empowerment. Qihe's full-category mushroom tray products have opened new avenues and injected fresh vitality into specialty mushroom sales. Within two years, the number of collaborative product categories surged from 4 to 27, driving a significant increase in specialty mushroom sales growth. Together, they have established a benchmark case of mutual success in both product quality and sales performance.

Su Jianchang, General Manager of Qihe Biotech, presented an overview of the company's development journey, including its microbial strain research and development, equipment upgrades, full industrial chain construction, and corporate development strategy.

Si Chenglei, Manager of Qihe Bio's Domestic Operations Center, provided an in-depth introduction to the company's full range of mushroom products.
